Sex as an Act of Worship to God (Part 1) | Dane Hall (S1:E3)
In this episode, we discuss SEXUALITY as we know it is actually where worship and identity intersect. The intersection, when it happens, is only expressed in it’s healthiest form within the context of marriage. Purpose & Focus:Emphasize that our discussion of sexuality is not merely about morality but about identity—where worship and sexuality intersect. Highlight the biblical concept of yada (“to know”) as a covenant term, showing how sexual intimacy reflects deep relationship with God and one’s spouse. Sexuality has parts, Ra’ya, Ahava and Dowd. The three (3) Hebrew nouns of Love (we possess) is described with these dimensions: 1. RA’YA: Poetic passion, affectionate companionship (e.g., Song of Solomon 2:10-13). 2. AHAVA: Deep commitment, covenantal love (e.g., Song of Solomon 8:6-7). 3. DOWD (Dod): Intense, “boiling” passion—romantic love at its height (e.g., Song of Solomon 7:6-12).
